About Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Consultant \/ Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across accounting, taxation, financial reporting and SARS compliance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the full accounting and tax function for a portfolio of clients. Complete accounting functions up to Trial Balance . Prepare monthly management reports. Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts and sole proprietors using CaseWare . Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies. Prepare and submit VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts. Handle SARS correspondence and client tax queries. Attend to SARS e-Filing , including notices of objection and suspension of debt. Provide clients with accounting and tax advice. Ensure all work is accurate, compliant and completed within deadlines. Maintain professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Travel to clients when required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma – non-negotiable. Completed Articles. 3–5 years' relevant experience within an accounting firm . Strong knowledge and practical experience with CaseWare and Pastel – imperative . Practical experience with SARS e-Filing . Experience with income tax and VAT returns. Experience preparing annual financial statements. Knowledge of accounting and tax legislation. Membership\/affiliation with SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA or SAIBA will be advantageous. Valid driver's licence – non-negotiable. Own reliable vehicle. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Professional communication and client-facing skills.
