SEO SPECIALIST

Introduction:
A medical software company in Pretoria East is seeking a SEO Specialist with 5-8 years’ experience to join their creative and versatile team.

Job purpose:
Responsible for overall search strategy and ensuring good organic traffic and exposure for the Lexie Hearing website. Drive more traffic to the website and improve the ranking of content in search engines by analyzing and reviewing the website and implementing changes according to the SEO strategy.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education (essential):
BCom Marketing, Communications or Information Technology

Minimum education (desirable):
Certification in SEO

Minimum applicable experience (years):
5 - 8 years

Required nature of experience:
? SEO optimisation
? Experience with SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
? Experience using SEMRush or similar tool.
? Experience with customer growth and promotion.

Skills and Knowledge (essential):
? Prior experience in content marketing, content growth and SEO.
? Knowledge of search engine algorithms. e-commerce platforms and ranking methods.
? Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools.
? Experience writing SEO copy.
? Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis.
? Knowledge of WordPress or other content management systems.

? Formulate and implement aggressive SEO strategy to increase Lexie’s search engine ranking.
? Formulate and execute backlink/link-building strategy.
? Compile SEO guidelines.
? Perform ongoing keyword research to identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic.
? Analyse, review and improve webpage content.
? Analyze keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors.
? Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success.
? Make recommendations for webpage content improvements based on keyword research.
? Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts.
? Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance.
? Prepare detailed strategy reports.
? Communicate clearly and proactively with other marketing professionals to align goals.
