We are seeking a dedicated SHE Specialist to help drive these initiatives and uphold the company's reputation for safety excellence. Where You'll Make an Impact: Achieve the SHE Strategy and Operational Plan in line with set targets. Ensure compliance with SHE legislation including OHS Act, NEMA, ISO standards, and licensing requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with stakeholder and legislative requirements. Lead and facilitate internal and external SHE audits, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Drive risk assessments, hazard identification, and impact studies to mitigate workplace hazards. Promote a proactive SHE culture through training, coaching, and leadership support. Manage incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions. Serve as the Head Office management representative for ISO systems. Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, including drills and equipment management. Monitor, report, and improve SHE performance through data analysis and continuous improvement practices. Duties: Ensure compliance with SHE legislation and standards (OHS Act, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NEMA). Lead SHE risk assessments and incident investigations. Develop and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and management systems. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external certification audits. Drive safety training, awareness, and behavioural change programs. Manage emergency response plans and equipment. Facilitate SHE improvement initiatives and action teams. Monitor and report on SHE metrics and compliance. Support the development of a safety-oriented corporate culture. Requirements: Grade 12\/Matric. Bachelor’s degree and\/or National Diploma in Safety Management. Internal Auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. SAMTRAC or equivalent safety certification. Environmental Health and Safety qualification. 3 to 5 years' experience in SHE within manufacturing. Strong understanding of SHE legislation and standards. Proven ability to lead audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Leadership skills to coach and develop SHE teams. Nice to Have: Additional management or leadership qualifications. Experience with multi-site SHE management systems. Advanced knowledge of environmental management practices.
