Freedom Won has opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Manager oversee the Safety Management System by developing programmes, policies, and procedures to prevent and control any hazards or injuries. To provide SHEQ expertise, guidance and support to all offices including nominated projects. Coordinate and improve SHEQ performance reports and administer systems. Provide support to the office managers and Regional Business Managers and manage staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the companies compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 85 of 1983.
• Ensure the companies compliance with the ISO 45001 health and safety management system requirements.
• Ensure the companies compliance with the ISO 14001 environmental management system requirements.
• Ensure the companies compliance with the ISO 50001 energy management system requirements.
• Ensure the companies compliance with IATF 16949 quality management system requirements.
• Develop, review, and manage the company’s safety management policies and procedures.
• Plan and manage project management, implementation and industrialisation of new products and technologies.
• Ensure the companies compliance to legal statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Development and review of the effectiveness of the company’s business management systems.
• Ensure adherence to project and timing plans in line with the product development timing programs.
• Ensure that quality engineering & product engineering activities are performed to meet project and Quality Planning requirements and customer specific requirements.
• The effective management of staff structure, subordinates, motivation, and training of staff.
• The preparation and control of capital and expense budgets.
• Oversee the support of quality engineering to the manufacturing function.
• Ensure that quality, safety, health, and environmental requirements are met at all stages of process planning and product industrialisation.
• Continuous improvement in all aspects of quality engineering activities.
• The ongoing review and updating of the company’s SHEQ policies and standard operating procedures.
• The update and distribution of all company policy and standard operating procedures through the document transmittal procedure.
• The updating of QMS and EMS SOPs in line with amendments to certification requirements and statutory regulations.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ Years as SHEQ Manager
• Experience in implementation of ISO 9001-2015 & ISO 45001
• Excellent people management skills
• Ability to coach team members in-house and in-field
• In depth understanding of managing and motivating a team
• Excellent understanding of production processes
• Ability to analyze production and make improvements
• Very good computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Browser)
