SHEQ OFFICER - Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
SHEQ Officer needed to ensure continued compliance and accreditation of all EHS legal requirements

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Matric
• Health and Safety Certification(s)
• Diploma in Safety Management (advantageous).

Requirements

• 5 Years working experience in a similar role
• SHEQ background in a foundry or manufacturing
• ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Duties

• Manage the SHEQ Committee and training program
• SHEQ Management System implementation and updates
• Promote SHEQ awareness
• Ensure contractor compliance
• Health, Safety, Environment and Security training.
• Ensure the implementation of Permit-To-Work system
• Develop, implement and manage the emergency preparedness procedure.
• Emergency system drills
• Facilitate the auditing of maintenance contractors, identify possible corrective actions and follow up on corrective actions.
• Implement and manage compliance to the hygiene and ergonomics
• Incidents and accidents investigation
• Document control
• Risk assessments.
• Update legal appointments
