Job Title: Quality Assurance and HR Officer
Department: Quality Assurance / Human Resources
Location: Westmead, Pinetown, Durban
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract – 1 to 6 Months, with option to renew by agreement
Working Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 | On Site
Salary: R10,000 CTC neg, depending on experience

About Us

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain controlled procedures, inspection records, training records and audit schedules for applicable ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 22716 and FSC requirements.
• Conduct approved quality checks, record non-conformances, support traceability exercises and coordinate corrective actions and customer complaint records.
• Prepare audit evidence and follow up on outstanding actions with process owners and appropriately qualified technical advisers.
• Maintain employee files, onboarding records, leave and attendance records, training schedules and authorised payroll inputs.
• Coordinate recruitment administration and performance reviews while supporting managers with approved HR procedures.
• Maintain compliance calendars and support POPIA recordkeeping under the designated responsible person.

Minimum Requirements

• Practical experience in manufacturing quality administration or ISO systems, together with HR administration experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, document control, inspections and corrective actions.
• Exposure to ISO 22000, ISO 22716 or FSC will be advantageous.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Excellent recordkeeping and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills with the confidence to follow up with colleagues and process owners.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
• A relevant Quality Assurance or HR qualification will be advantageous.
• Experience within the printing, packaging or manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
