SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a SHEQ Officer to join their dynamic team in Cape Town (Brackenfell).

POSITION INFO:
Job Responsibilities:

Conduct regular internal SHE inspections and audits.
Maintain and update SHE documentation, organograms, and legal appointments.
Respond to and investigate incidents, accidents, spills, and emergencies.
Liaise with contractors and maintenance teams to ensure compliance.
Conduct risk assessments and assist with Safe Work procedures and training.
Deliver SHE and Food Safety inductions for employees and contractors.
Assist with the implementation of SHEQ Management documentation.
Conduct internal GMP audits and support readiness for external audits.
Investigate and track customer complaints, non-conformances, and product returns.
Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly SHEQ reports.

Job Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety / Food Technology / BSc Science / Quality Management Systems
First Aid Level 2 and Fire Prevention certification
SAMTRAC certification or similar (advantageous)
Exposure to FSSC2200 (V6.1 advantageous)
2–4 years relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be willing to work overtime, when required
