Are you a SHEQ expert with a proven track record in Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental systems? Our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is looking for a skilled SHEQ Systems Specialist to join their high-performing team in Durban!

As a SHEQ Systems Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of driving compliance, improving systems, and ensuring the seamless implementation of SHEQ standards across the manufacturing environment. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring certification readiness, conducting audits, training staff, and supporting the integration of new product systems — all while adding significant business value and maintaining sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain SHEQ and related business systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18000, NOSA, KORE, etc.)
Lead and coordinate internal and external audits
Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs and build organizational capability
Ensure full compliance with industry and legal requirements
Support the New Product Development (NPD) and commercialisation process
Compile monthly SHEQ reports and maintain risk tracking systems

Requirements

National Diploma in Food Technology or related qualification (essential)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in SHEQ systems within the bottling or food manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of ISO, KORE, NOSA, and GMP practices
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SHEQ management systems such as Achiever Plus is advantageous
Lead Auditor or SHEQ systems training (preferred)
Willingness to travel between manufacturing sites
