Well established consulting firm that provides a broad range of engineering services across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines, servicing both public and private sector clients.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, planning, and management of civil engineering projects (e.g., roads, stormwater, earthworks, water reticulation, sewer infrastructure, etc).
Take full technical ownership of projects, ensuring designs are innovative, cost-effective, and compliant with South African regulations and standards (SANS, etc.).
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, tender documents, and contract documentation.
Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate engineers and technologists within the team.
Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Ensure all work complies with the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or B-Tech in Civil Engineering.
Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) OR a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) .
Must have a minimum of 5 years of post-professional registration experience.

Skills

Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering.
Proficient in industry-standard civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Prokon, or similar).
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong client relationship management skills.
