Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Attorney to take full responsibility for managing and growing its Franschhoek office. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced practitioner, possibly someone who has previously run their own practice or is looking to transition into a more balanced, lifestyle-oriented role within a structured and supportive firm environment.

This role is particularly suited to a senior attorney seeking a long-term opportunity to scale down from private practice while remaining professionally active, or an experienced practitioner looking to take on a leadership role within an established firm structure.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the Franschhoek office, operating with a high level of autonomy while benefiting from the firm’s established infrastructure, brand, and national footprint. The office services a diverse client base, including a strong conveyancing component driven by local and international property transactions.

You will be responsible for:

Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Franschhoek office
Leading and supporting a team of legal professionals and administrative staff
Driving business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Ensuring effective service delivery across a broad range of legal matters
Contributing to the growth and reputation of the office within the region

Qualifications

Admitted Attorney with extensive experience running practice operations

Skills

The successful candidate will:

Have extensive post-admission experience
Demonstrate the ability to manage a practice or legal team
Possess strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
Be able to operate independently and take ownership of a practice
Have experience in a general practice environment (advantageous)
