A large heavy lifting and logistics company operating within the construction, mining, infrastructure, renewable energy and industrial sectors located in the East Rand.

Job Description

Our client is seeking to appoint a seasoned Construction / Commercial Attorney within their organization.

The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of commercial and construction-related legal matters and should have experience in some or all of the following areas:

• Commercial contracts
• Construction and infrastructure projects
• Procurement and tender agreements
• Dispute resolution / arbitration
• JBCC, FIDIC, and/or NEC contracts
• Contract negotiation and risk management

Experience within the construction, engineering, infrastructure, mining, or property sectors would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications

LLB degree
Admitted Attorney

Skills

The successful candidate will have

5 – 10 years’ experience in commercial and/or construction law
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Sound commercial acumen
Ability to work independently and manage complex matters
