SUMMARY:
Work for an iconic brand who employs motivated people with a mission to entertain. We are looking for a SQL Server Development DBA to join a growing team. The role will entail design, development, and support for SQL server systems.

POSITION INFO:

Oversee the SQL Server database code development

Develop solutions using Agile methodologies

Development support including code reviews, process management and monitoring and interpreting load tests

Administration support

Development of T-SQL objects and scripts for database management

Process requests and advise on changes to all SQL Server databases

Best-in-breed approach

Fine-tuning and optimization queries and stored objects

Interpreting database events, advises on future development as well as improvements to the system

Complete administration tasks (Using PowerShell script)

Design processes to easily deploy new environments

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in SQL Server development and/or administration

Advanced T-SQL experience

Design to prevent lock escalation

Performance tuning experience

Partitioning

Knowledge of Versioning Tools

Working with developers to enforce best practice standards

Mentoring Experience

Qualification:

A relevant Degree or Diploma
