POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a qualified and registered Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, implementing safety policies, and ensuring adherence to legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Registered with SACPCMP (non-negotiable)
Relevant Health & Safety qualification
Proven experience as a Safety Officer (preferably in construction / manufacturing / industrial – adjust if needed)
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation
Good administrative and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and enforce compliance
Own transport (if site-based – add if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures
Maintain safety files and documentation
Investigate incidents and compile reports
Conduct safety training and toolbox talks
Ensure proper use of PPE on-site
Liaise with management regarding safety compliance
