Sales & Debtors Controller

SUMMARY:
A new permanent position for a qualified Sales & Debtors Controller in the Durban area. Reporting directly to the Group Debtors Manager.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Certificate in credit management/accounts/finance
3. An advanced diploma in credit management/accounts/finance is preferred
4. Advanced courses on accounts receivable function.
5. Advanced Excel training
6. 3-5 years in a similar position

• Credit control service to the Finance department through organising and controlling credit functions
• Ensure the correct and timeous invoicing of sales
• Collect debtors in line with credit policy and procedures
• Verify that income and related expenses are appropriately processed and finalised in the System with valid supporting documentation
• Verify accruals
• Provide customers with all required supporting documentation with regard to sales transactions
• Recover claims in line with policy and procedures
• Correct and timeous invoicing to customers, verified against supporting documentation
• Debt collection and management of clients
• Update and reconcile the claims rental register
• Resolve customer queries and disputes effective and efficiently
• Generate accurate Job cards
• Attend to customer queries from all Debtors
• Maintain Rate Management System
