Sales & Marketing Manager

SUMMARY:
Reporting to Managing Director, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and all marketing initiatives to defend and grow existing market shares, gain market share in new strategic growth areas, in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for planning and implementing all sales and marketing activities, developing solid customer relationships and managing a committed team of sales representatives located around South Africa.

• Setting and execution of sales & marketing strategies in consultation with the management team.
• Develop and manage marketing & customer strategies to meet business objectives
• Design and develop customer acquisition and retention strategies to meet corporate strategies
• Set marketing policy to meet business strategic plan
• Develop and monitor an annual sales plan
• Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy
• Identify and utilise marketing resources Advertising Agency, Web Developer, Market Research, etc.
• Provide management and strategic direction to the national sales team
• Identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing products
• Work closely with R&D and the market, to prioritise new product developments and launch new products to market

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Sales or Marketing Degree or suitable business qualification
• Min 5 years’ experience at a senior management level.
• Good understanding of commercial and management principles
• Knowledge/experience in the sales and marketing of the automotive component manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to think strategically and to contribute to strategic discussions.
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills
