Educational:

  • Grade 12
  • Sales & Marketing and/or Office Administration certificate

Technical:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Good Excel knowledge (producing reports/creating hyperlinks, etc.)
  • Good managing and planning skills
  • Good customer service and telephone communication skills
  • Pastel Accounting software

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the sales & marketing field

Internal Sales:

  • Taking calls from customers
  • Follow up on quotes given to convert to a sale
  • Finding new customers
  • Assisting customers with queries where necessary
  • Building customer relationships
  • Conducting friendly, open communication with both staff and clients
  • Follow up with deliveries/collections where necessary

Customer Service:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction in every aspect of your duties.
  • Be aware of the customer, the respect you show, and how you
  • Always try to exceed the customer’s expectation by “under-promise & over-deliver”
  • Ensure that you look presentable when interacting with a client
  • Always strive for exceptional customer service
  • Provide customers with necessary information/brochures/updates on our product range
  • Assisting with customer queries in a reasonable time frame if required
  • Customer contact for general queries
  • Building customer relationships
  • Ensuring constant, clear & timeous customer communication
  • Ad-hoc customer visits

Administration Duties:

  • Costing of products
  • Quoting on Tender Documents
  • Following up with clients on quotations submitted
  • Creating and maintaining a customer contact base
  • Categorizing customer database
  • Creating and maintaining a product database of product details inquiries to each customer quoted
  • Invoicing on accounting software
  • General admin and filing duties
  • Assisting the Safety Officer with updating and maintaining required OHS documentation
  • Updating and Maintaining Service Level Agreements with Customers
  • Ensuring that each accepted quotation has a signed acceptance of Terms & Conditions 
  • Compiling data and documentation for tender documents, including contracts
  • Work together with the finance department to implement and maintain sales reports
  • Reporting on deposit invoices, balance invoices, and retentions
  • Creating and maintaining of job register

  • Assisting national branches with all admin-related queries when necessary
