Our client, based in Bellville is seeking a Sales and Business Manager who has visionary thinking and sound commercial judgment, with the ability to make decisive calls under pressure.

You will be building and nurturing high-performing teams, taking full ownership of outcomes, and driving strategic alignment across the business.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

5+ years in sales and/or general management roles within SaaS, custom software, digital transformation, or B2B technology sectors.
Relevant degree or diploma.
Individual needs to have experience in building a software/solution business.
Demonstrated success and experience in scaling a business.
Strong commercial acumen with direct experience managing budgets, revenue targets, and teams.
Expertise in solution selling, enterprise sales, and building consultative sales strategies.
Understanding of South African public and private sector sales cycles.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
Experience in bespoke software development, agile methodologies, cloud computing, or related technologies is advantageous.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Resilient, adaptable, and energised by challenge and ownership.

DUTIES

Define and execute a winning go-to-market strategy, aligning bespoke software solutions with industry pain points.
Partially own the P&L of the business unit with responsibility for revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
Partially create and grow the sales and business development teams, ensuring high-performance culture and accountability.
Rebuild and implement a high-impact sales strategy (B2B, channel, and strategic accounts).
Identify and penetrate new verticals including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and e-commerce.
Establish scalable sales processes, CRM discipline, forecasting, and performance metrics. Also ensure disciplined adherence to these processes.
Review the current software and solution offering and identify adjacent opportunities and potential partnerships.
Engage and nurture strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to decision-makers.
Work closely with development and technology teams to influence product roadmap based on market insights.
Elevate the company’s market presence and thought leadership in the bespoke software development, digital transformation, and custom tech solutions space.
Represent the company at industry events, panels, and client briefings.

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
