SUMMARY:
Responsible for the sales of cross-divisional products and solutions within automation and control solutions.

Our client is in the process of going through some major change and have strong succession plans in place for internal promotions.  

Position details:

Type: Permanent
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Primary purpose: Responsible for the sales of cross-divisional products and solutions within automation and control solutions. This function is responsible for the creation and maintenance of sustainable customer relationships. The scope of this role entails measurement, analytical, flow, density and tank gauging solutions.
Job description / core competencies:

  • Pursue new customers
  • Face to face consultative selling
  • Monthly sales forecast report for day to day sales
  • Execute defined sales strategies to win and meet sales budget
  • Consult with internal support structures for engineering solutions to assist customers
  • Gather data required for sizing and selection, refer to sales support and internal resources for solutions
  • Present product presentations and demonstrations
  • Follow up on quoted opportunities
  • Provide win / loss reasons in customer relationship management system
  • Administer sales quotes register
  • Provide effective after-sales service to customers
  • Create and maintain relationships with new stakeholders
  • Gather customer information to identify new opportunities

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Academic qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • N3 preferably with process instrumentation, where N3 is a minimum requirement
  • N6 would be preferable
  • Industrial Trade Test in Instrumentation (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Sales experience required
  • Two years industry experience
  • Process plant knowledge (inherent requirement)
  • Driver’s license required
