SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the mining and heavy industrial sector, who is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong mechanical engineering background and a solid understanding of capital equipment in the mining industry.

POSITION INFO:

About the Role:

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving business development and sales of high-value capital equipment to clients across the mining sector. You will act as the technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle, from initial client engagement to solution design and post-sales support.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with mining and industrial clients.
Identify new business opportunities and develop tailored equipment solutions.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide after-sales support and client feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

BEng in Mechanical Engineering (essential).
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the mining or capital equipment sector.
Proven track record in selling heavy or capital equipment into the mining industry.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex systems.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel as required.
