SUMMARY:
A dynamic and well-established organisation based in Gauteng is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in the OEM and Mining industry who is passionate about developing business, managing key accounts, and delivering technical sales solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) Degree or Diploma in Engineering (advantageous) 5-8 years' engineering sales experience within the OEM and Mining industry Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Willing to travel extensively and stay on-site or in-country for extended periods Key Skills & Experience Proven ability to identify customer needs and provide value-added technical solutions Strong track record in revenue generation and achieving sales targets Extensive experience with large capital equipment tenders, including: Tender preparation and submission Commercial negotiations Legal terms and conditions Risk assessment and risk management Performance and other contractual guarantees Experience with costing and estimating for capital equipment tenders Ability to prepare, present, and manage technical proposals and reports Sound understanding of sales management principles and business strategy Experience in budgeting, financial modelling, and forecasting Proven ability to develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline Strong market development and business growth capabilities Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients Identify new business opportunities and grow market share within the mining and OEM sectors Prepare accurate quotations, tenders, and technical proposals Negotiate commercial agreements and manage the tender process from start to finish Achieve sales targets while maintaining profitability Provide technical support and value-added engineering solutions to customers Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline reporting Travel regularly to customer sites across South Africa and neighbouring countries where required
