Sales Estimator

SUMMARY:
Our client, one of the world's leading mechanical and plant engineering firms, seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of projects, preparing detailed proposals, and supporting the S\ales team in closing deals.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Automotive industry knowledge or experience required.
• Proven experience in sales estimation or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to determine the scope of work.
• Work with other Engineers to perform feasibility studies, develop models, and specify hardware and equipment.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project-related expenses.
• Prepare comprehensive proposals and quotes for clients.
• Collaborate with Sales team members to understand client needs and provide accurate pricing information.
• Maintain a database of cost data and pricing information.
• Track project costs and ensure they align with the approved estimates.
• Participate in sales meetings and presentations as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve the estimation process and reduce costs.
