Our client, a well-established automotive business is preparing to open a new store in JHB Northern Suburbs and is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Sales Manager to take the lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven automotive professional with strong tyre, wheel, alignment and balancing knowledge who can manage people, customers and the day-to-day performance of the store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the store's daily operations, sales performance, customer relationships, staff performance and financial administration. You will combine technical automotive knowledge with strong sales and leadership skills to maximise opportunities, deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the store operates efficiently and profitably.

Remuneration
R 35 000 – R 40 000 TCTC pm.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include Plan, organise and manage daily store resources and operations. Drive sales of tyres, wheels, fitment services and related products. Identify and maximise new sales opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Manage store financial and administrative functions, including cash-ups, invoicing and cash handling. Monitor and review employee performance and address performance concerns where required. Conduct relevant disciplinary and performance-related enquiries. Ensure excellent customer service and professional presentation at all times. Understand and oversee tyre fitting and stripping processes. Identify tyre and rim defects and recommend appropriate solutions. Understand tyre specifications, performance characteristics and product applications. Provide product knowledge across various tyre and rim suppliers. Understand wheel and tyre accessories, including lock-nut systems, nitrogen and rim accessories. Understand and interpret vehicle alignment requirements and vehicle behaviour. Operate and understand balancing equipment. Understand the operation, installation, servicing, repair, calibration and testing of wheel alignment equipment. Conduct vehicle alignment and make appropriate technical adjustments. Inspect and test products and vehicles where required. Ensure reports, documentation and administration are completed accurately and timeously. Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth store operations. Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and operational efficiency. Requirements: Grade 12 \/ Matric. Additional relevant qualification will be advantageous. Previous experience in an automotive tyre, wheel, fitment or related environment. Proven sales and customer service experience, ideally with supervisory or management responsibility. Strong knowledge of tyres, rims, wheel accessories and fitment products. Good understanding of tyre fitting and stripping. Knowledge of wheel balancing and alignment. Ability to interpret vehicle alignment requirements and understand vehicle behaviour. Knowledge of tyre and rim defects. Ability to operate or understand balancing and wheel alignment equipment. Strong administrative and financial control skills, including cash-ups and invoicing. Experience managing and reviewing employee performance will be advantageous. Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building ability. Excellent attention to detail. Reliable, responsible and able to work independently. Strong initiative and problem-solving ability. Professional presentation and excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with customers, suppliers and colleagues. High level of integrity and honesty.
