SUMMARY:
Global supplier of polymers / plastics has an opportunity for a Sales Manager for the Johannesburg region.

POSITION INFO:
Matric is essential
Sales / Marketing / Technical Qualification
Minimum of 3 - 5 years sales experience within the polymer / plastics or chemical industry is essential
Valid drivers license is required
Computer literate on MS Office
Hybrid working arrangements : 2 days on the road seeing customers, 2 days at the office, 1 day from home
This position reports to the General Manager

As part of your mission, you will have, among others, the following responsibilities :

Call on customers within the Gauteng region
Key Account Management - 80 %
Develop new business and follow up on leads - 20 %
Determine the conditions of purchase and sale of the products that the company markets;
Call on customers who are plastic converters within various industries such as FMCG, pharmaceutical, engineering, packaging etc
You will be involved in procurement, forecasting, stock planning, supply chain and deliveries
Liaise with internal sales staff and the distribution team
Follow-up and ensure processing of sales orders and logistics arrangements for customers
Supervision of a team of assistants dedicated to the processing of sales
Recovery of invoices for business transactions that the employee processes
Carry out all such functions and duties as are from time to time assigned to you and as are reasonable and lawful
Comply with all lawful and reasonable instructions given to you by your superiors
Submit sales reports to management
Meet sales targets
