The company supplies a wide range of laboratory equipment, chemicals, consumables, and related products to industries such as research, manufacturing, mining, education, and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve and streamline sales processes to enhance efficiency and performance
• Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
• Drive sales volume and ensure consistent pipeline growth
• Lead contract negotiations with prospective clients
• Develop pricing strategies for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
• Prepare and submit sales contracts and ensure timely order processing
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Conduct client visits to assess needs and promote products/services
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management
• Manage, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and team targets
• Recruit, onboard, and set performance objectives for sales representatives
• Design and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Sales Manager or similar leadership role - 3 years plus
• Matric
• Tertiary qualification advantageous
• Experience in technical, industrial, or B2B sales environments (laboratory, engineering, scientific, or related sectors advantageous)
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Experience managing and developing a sales team
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to develop and execute sales strategies
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and forecasts
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
