Sales Manager- Business Development - ISP

POSITION INFO:

Successful candidate must have valid licence and car
 
Salary: Basic plus commission plus petrol, cell phone and data allowance
 
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Lead and motivate a sales team to meet company objectives by ensuring retention of allocated clients along with profitable sales and growth of the customer base.
 
HIGH-LEVEL JOB OBJECTIVES
No Job Objectives (Maximum 8)
- Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, skills and product knowledge development.
- Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems, and creating an environment where customer service can flourish.
- Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, retention, cross selling initiatives, revenue and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and profitable revenue growth
- Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the companies mandate and expectations.
- Responsible for the planning and control of the sales team to accomplish specific objectives.
- Plan, implement and manage an appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual sales targets and administer the commission plan.
- Provide high standards of ongoing training for sales representatives so that they possess sufficient accurate and balanced manner.
- Sales Managers need to ensure that all contracts submitted by any sales team member are complete and signed correctly. In addition, the sales manager must ensure that all contracts / proposals are properly appraised and make commercial sense.
- Recruit and select new employees maintain relationships with approved recruitment consultants.

Education

  • Grade 12 - Matric
  • Sales / Management Qualification (minimum 12-month certificate/diploma qualification)

Essential

  • Professional Membership or Registration
  • Job - Related Work Experience
  • 3 years Successful Corporate Direct Sales experience
  • 2 years ICT industry experience
  • 3-5 years Junior management experience
  • 3 years Successful Account Management experience


Job Knowledge
  • Principles and processes for providing customer services.
  • Business and management principles.
  • Basic financial principles in order to understand the profitability of the sale.
  • Principles and methods for motivating the sales team.
  • Administrative procedures and systems.
  • Products and costs.
  • Laws, government regulations in relation the telecommunication industry.
  • Principles and methods for selling products or services
