Sales Manager - Flow Metering

POSITION INFO:
An international leader in industrial automation is looking for a Sales Manager to drive growth across Africa This hybrid role blends technical know-how with business development and strategic leadership. You’ll focus on growing the Flow Controls and Instrumentation portfolio — including digital valve controllers and connected services — while leading key customer engagements, channel partner development, and high-value project pursuits.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronic, or similar)
• 10–12 years’ technical sales or channel sales experience in the valve/process control industry
• 10+ years’ hands-on experience with control valve sizing and selection
• 3–5 years of project pursuit or EPC involvement
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and cross-border
• Must be based in South Africa with the ability to work in a hybrid model

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Strong understanding of smart/digital valve controllers and connected technologies
• Proven ability to grow market share and exceed targets
• Experience with severe service applications and engineered valve solutions
• Solid understanding of key industries: mining, power, hydrocarbons, and chemical
• Ability to lead and support channel partners across multiple regions
• Commercially savvy with a strong technical foundation
• Familiar with KOB1–KOB3 frameworks and installed base upgrade strategies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
