Sales Manager - Food Industry

SUMMARY:
My client, a successful wholesale company in SA is seeking to employ an experienced and driven Sales Manager to join their team in Epping. You will be responsible for the effective management of the regional sales team. Assist the National Sales and Marketing Executives, to grow existing business from strategic customers and increased sales and market share.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Leading, motivating, coaching, and developing a sales team to deliver customer sales volumes and reach KPI targets.
• Utilize sales team efficiently through effective sales call cycles, customer segmentation and customer geography through implementation of a sales strategy taking in consideration customer sales turnovers.
• Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of customers.
• Acquire a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements.
• Continuously proposing solutions that meet the objectives of customers.
• Serve as the link of communication between customers and internal teams.
• Resolving any issues and problems and dealing with complaints.
• Preparing progress reports and forecast sales.
• Creating, interpreting, and presenting key account KPIs for sales team.
• Generate new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
• Executing marketing initiative with customers.
• Recruit and retain a pipeline of sales representatives, in line with business strategy.
• Logistical planning with the National Operations Manager to ensure customer service and sales are optimized.

• Minimum 5 years solid Sales Management experience.
• Tertiary qualification diploma or degree in Sales and/or Marketing.
• Must have a real passion for excellent customer service.
• Results driven, motivated self-starter who can work independently in a demanding environment.
• Leadership and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication skills on all levels.
