SUMMARY:
Bedfordview, Johannesburg. A well-established company in the Shipping and Logistics industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join their team. This is a pivotal role requiring extensive experience in ships agency and commercial shipping, with a strong understanding of trade lanes – particularly the Far East.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and grow a portfolio of import / export clients, with a focus on mineral and ore exports
Drive commercial strategy and promote value-added services (VAS)
Build strong client relationships and ensure high service levels
Collaborate across teams to enhance customer experience
Maintain accurate records and use CRM for client tracking
Report to the Regional Commercial Manager and uphold company standards

Requirements:

10+ years’ experience in ships agency and commercial shipping
Strong industry knowledge, especially Far East trade
Proven sales and business development track record
Excellent communication, CRM, and negotiation skills
Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with SA shipping regulations
Tertiary qualification in sales / marketing (advantageous)
