Sales, Marketing & Shipping Manager - Port Elizabeth

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established company within the logistics industry, is looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales, Marketing & Shipping Manager to join their Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business development, growing the company's customer base, managing key client relationships and overseeing sales and marketing activities, while also ensuring effective coordination of shipping and logistics requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Description: Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market share. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Eastern Cape and surrounding regions. Develop new client relationships within the logistics, freight, shipping and transport sectors. Manage and grow existing customer accounts. Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, client visits and other business development activities. Prepare quotations, proposals and pricing based on customer requirements. Negotiate rates, contracts and commercial terms with clients. Follow up on quotations and leads to convert opportunities into confirmed business. Monitor sales pipelines and ensure consistent achievement of sales targets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners. Coordinate with internal logistics, operations and shipping teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Requirements: Grade 12 \/ Matric. Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Logistics or a related field will be advantageous. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in sales\/business development , preferably within logistics, freight, shipping or transport. Previous experience in a managerial or senior sales position will be advantageous. Strong new business development and account management experience. Experience dealing with corporate and commercial clients. Strong understanding of logistics, freight, shipping or transportation processes. Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. Excellent negotiation and closing skills. Strong customer relationship management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
