POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for a driven and energetic Sales Representative to grow sales, increase market share, and build strong relationships with retail and wholesale customers across the Garden Route. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, driving product visibility, and ensuring excellent execution of trade initiatives within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Visit and manage the full customer base, including retail key accounts and wholesale channels. Prospect for new business and open new customer accounts. Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs. Expand product ranges and introduce new products into stores. Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners, managers, and staff. Ensure effective product placement, visibility, merchandising, gantries, and displays. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimise out-of-stock situations. Conduct stock rotation within stores. Execute promotions, activations, and in-store campaigns. Conduct competitor analysis and provide relevant market feedback. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Use mobile sales tools and applications to report on daily activities and performance. Drive switch-selling by educating store staff and consumers on company brands. Travel extensively throughout the region.. Minimum Requirements Matric \/ Grade 12 – essential 2–5 years’ external sales experience, preferably within FMCG, tobacco, or vape FMCG organised-channel experience will be advantageous Valid driver’s licence Proven track record of achieving sales targets Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, mobile applications, and reporting tools Key Competencies Results-driven and target-oriented Self-motivated and disciplined Strong problem-solving ability Entrepreneurial mindset High energy and resilience Excellent time management and planning skills Strong analytical ability Advantageous Experience Existing relationships within the retail or tobacco trade Knowledge of vape and tobacco products Experience in merchandising and in-store activations FMCG background or retail floor management experience Additional Requirements Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory Willingness to work flexible hours when required Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
