Sales Representative (JOAT)

We are recruiting 2 Sales Representatives x1 Metered x1 VSD to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)

Role Objective:

Selling identified core products, solutions and services using product and application knowledge to provide solid arguments to existing and prospective customers. Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers. Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales.

Qualification Required:

• Grade 12 
• Marketing or Sales diploma

Preferred Qualification:

• A Technical Tertiary qualification in either Civil, Electrical or Instrumentation field.
• Minimum Trade Test Qualified in Electrical, Instrumentation or Civil Technician field.

Experience required:

• Function related experience: 5-10 years
• Other experience: 3-5 years in a similar role

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers and ensure sound knowledge of products and company value-offering and continuously improve through feedback
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to provide workable solutions
• Provide accurate quotations and proposals for Solutions offering to meet the margins as required
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships and maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales
• Grow the customer base through cold calling
• Develop call plans and daily sales reports
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon sales and/or performance targets and outcomes within schedule
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
• Ensure that the requirements of the financial management system are adhered to
• Analyze the territory or marketâ??s potential, track sales and status reports and keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Must have a working knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
