POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric plus a post-matric qualification in PR or marketing.
• At least three years’ experience in the field of sales or marketing.
• Knowledge of the ETD industry will be an advantage.
• Strong people skills.

• Contribute meaningfully to the annual sales target and marketing strategy discussion.
• Develop and operationalise a sales and marketing strategy to meet sales targets for the year and promote the brand.
• Ensure integration with marketing and the company as a whole for sales strategy and to meet targets.
• Create project plans for sales and marketing activity directly in line of responsibility.

• Research market trends in the industry.
• Conduct customer surveys for accurate branding and positioning of products.
• Conduct competitor analysis to ensure correct product placement, pricing and positioning.
• Identify and evaluate product characteristics.
• Be up to date regarding the training industry, competitors and company programs.
• Know company market share and pricing within industry.
• Ensure tenders are completed as per specs.

• Prepare events and advertising campaigns and plans.
• Assist with social media strategies.
• Ensure that the social calendar is updated timeously.
• Engage suitable service providers for events.
• Plan and organise promotional presentations.
• Ensure smooth running of events.
• Contribute to realistic budgets for projects and ensure that these are adhered to, and purchase orders submitted timeously.
• Assist with company newsletter and other CRM initiatives.

• Monitor company governance file as well corporate identity file as to ensure readiness for tenders and proposals.
• Ensure working sales and marketing systems as per company policies and procedures.
• Report efficiently in weekly newsletter, monthly meetings, and quarterly planning meetings
• Report accurately, meaningfully, and timeously about sales and activities engaged in to meet targets.
• Coordinate company promotional item requirements.
• Keep inventory of stock and ensure security of stock.

• Identify trends and needs of clients and proactively engage with clients to meet targets.
• Ensure clients visits as per sales strategy to build positive relationships and meet targets.
• Engage in corrective action if sales targets are lagging behind.

• Be adaptable in approach and behaviour to match the shifting demands of different situations.
• Take on opportunities and challenges with enthusiasm.
• Be accountable to meet commitments and deadlines.
• Solve problems effectively and within company procedures.
• Handle conflict situations effectively, with minimum of noise.

• Create reporting structures for team to ensure accurate reports and meaningful growth of sales.
• Engage with other teams to ensure that sales and marketing activities are appropriately integrated with company requirements.
• Plan and prepare with team to meet departmental goals.
• Know and drive results, even under tough circumstances.
• Build strong learner and Facilitator relationships and deliver solutions that suit your internal customer.
• Complete purchase orders and manage given budgets effectively.
• Provide direction, delegate and removing obstacles to get work done.
• Motivate your team to do their best to help the department meet its goals.
