SUMMARY:
Our client a leading international mechanical and plant engineering company at the forefront of innovation has a position for a Sales and Project Manager, who will share their passion for leading the way into the new digital industrial age, at their Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha branch.

POSITION INFO:

Skills Required:

  • Diploma or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering with 5 - 10 years experience
  • High degree of computer literacy - knowledge of Microsoft PC applications (Office, Projects, PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
  • Relevant knoweldge in AutoCad, Solidworks and SAP and advantage
  • Ability to understand and meet customer requirements
  • Ensure that capacity planning and resource planning is generated on time for all project activities.  This may require internal and external resources for projects
  • Budget tracking and responsibility for cost incurred within the department for all project activities
  • Customer on-site visits with possible interventions/mechanical and electromechanical maintenance support
  • Be responsible for day-to-day management of department staff
  • Identify, or ensure identification of, clearly defined performance/acceptance criteria to achieve prompt efficient customer buy-off
  • Analysis, conception and coordination of marketing and sales activities
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and manage project work effectivelyand appropriately
  • Good understanding of project cost control
  • Possess adequte leaderhsip skills and experence in managing personnel
  • High standard of oral and written communication to converse at all levels within the organisation as well as with inter-group personnel, customers and suppliers
  • Able to travel locally and internationally for business

Job Requirements:
  • Understand Customer RFQ requirements and provide accurate cost calcuations
  • Develop Cost Estimation and Sales Strategies. Leading of negotiations
  • Plan, supervise, conduct and report of project engineering activities
  • Adherence to Scope of Supply, Timing, Schedule, Quality and Budget
  • Departmental control of administration and management issues relating to personnel
  • Customer and Market analysis with the goal of expanding of existing markets and wining new customers
