SUMMARY:
Operations Manager required for a combined school in JHB East. School management experience is a must!!!!!

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Management experience in an education/schools environnment a must.
Understanding of budgets, basic financial management, procurement is key
Basic HR experience including leave & attendance management and sound employment records is necessary
Process driven individual who understands and can implement quality processes
Customer/sales oriented person who can assist in stakeholder communications and learner recruitment

Responsibilities:

• As a member of the school management team, provide strategic leadership and management on all aspects of school business management across the school to continuously improve effectiveness and performance of staff members.

• To manage and lead the ground staff and admin team, in supporting the school in attaining its aims and objectives.

• Through strategic leadership take decisions day-to-day and on a long term basis which underpin the school’s aims and objectives. Such decisions include but not only refers to: Planning and Prioritising, Allocating and Organizing Work, Developing and Using New Technology, Monitoring Performance, Taking Remedial Action as required.

• To carry out the day to day maintenance of the school buildings, its service and grounds in order to ensure the school is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order.

• To ensure effective and efficient debt collection activities are implemented on time to recover delinquent debt.

• To ensure the smooth running of the school’s operations, through an effective and efficient day to day grounds and maintenance function.

• Integral member of the management team. This requires being flexible and responsive. Work as a part of an effective team, prioritise work and identify, diagnose and solve problems before they affect the operation of the school.

Strong operations experience non-negotiable
Must be able to operate independently.
