SUMMARY:
Our esteemed client is seeking a Scrum Master for a permanent position based in Sandton.
R50 000.00 (+) CTC Per Month (negotiable)

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving delivery excellence across two to three concurrent projects and programmes within a lean, high-velocity fintech environment. This role extends beyond traditional Scrum facilitation, serving as the operational engine of the delivery team by enabling agile practices, safeguarding team flow, coordinating activities across multiple workstreams, and acting as the first point of escalation for delivery-related issues before they are escalated to the Head of Product & Delivery.

POSITION INFO:
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a Scrum Master or equivalent agile delivery role Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams or programmes Experience in a product-led or technology-enabled environment Proven track record of facilitating agile ceremonies and driving team delivery outcomes Comfort working in lean, cross-functional teams without rigid role boundaries Advantageous: Scrum Master certification - advantageous but not required Exposure to fintech, financial services, or highly regulated environments Familiarity with CRM or platform-led transformation programmes Experience working alongside or in a BA or delivery coordination capacity Non-Negotiable Responsibilities: Ceremony Facilitation: Facilitate all sprint ceremonies across 2-3 concurrent programmes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure ceremonies are purposeful, time-boxed, and outcome-driven. Adapt facilitation style to suit team maturity levels and programme requirements. Impediment Management: Identify, log, and actively resolve team-level blockers. Distinguish between impediments that can be resolved independently and those requiring escalation. Escalate issues to the Head of Product & Delivery with appropriate context and recommended solutions, rather than only highlighting problems. Team Health & Agile Coaching: Monitor team dynamics, morale, and overall delivery rhythm. Coach team members on Agile principles, values, and practices. Drive continuous improvement through retrospective outcomes and ensure agreed actions are implemented. Sprint Governance: Maintain sprint boards and delivery metrics. Track team velocity, capacity, and sprint forecast accuracy. Identify and proactively highlight scope creep, under-commitment, or over commitment. Definition of Ready & Definition of Done: Own and enforce the Definition of Ready, ensuring no user story enters a sprint without meeting agreed standards. Uphold the Definition of Done as a quality gate during sprint reviews. Collaborate with Business Analysts and Testers to refine and evolve these definitions as team maturity develops.
