Do you thrive on the pace of live markets? We're looking for a Securities Trader to join the dealing team of an established investment manager, executing trades. Great opportunity to join an experienced investment team, with scope for growth. Why join this team? What you will be doing: Monitoring market conditions, positions and risk limits Executing trades for clients and internal portfolios, ideally across multi-asset class securities Working closely and supporting the Head of Trading Liaising with brokers and counterparties to source liquidity and ensure best execution Keeping accurate trade records in line with regulatory and internal controls Manage broker relationships and recommending suitable allocation plans What we are looking for: Minimum of 2 years' trade execution experience in JSE-listed securities Minimum of a finance \/ business or management degree,or similar Completed JSE and FAIS regulatory exams (RPEs, JSE registered securities trader, FAIS RE5) Knowledge of the Bloomberg trading platform Sound knowledge of financial markets & passion for markets and trading High attention to detail Good communication skills and a good team player What is in it for you: Hands-on mentorship from an experienced lead trader Exceptional exposure to an experienced investment team Exposure to multi-asset and international markets Please note if you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
