About the Role

Our client based in Ireland is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening security across several strategic initiatives, including cloud security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), SOC transformation, and emerging AI security requirements.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on security leader with deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to design and implement enterprise-wide security architectures that support business objectives

Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure architecture across cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and GCP. Lead Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategy, governance, and technology implementation. Support Security Operations Centre (SOC) transformation and migration initiatives, including tooling, processes, and operating models. Provide oversight and guidance on AI security risks, controls, governance, and data protection considerations. Define and enforce security standards, frameworks, policies, and best practices. Conduct security risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry requirements. Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver secure solutions. Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on security strategy and risk management. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in Enterprise Security Architecture. Strong knowledge of cloud security architectures and frameworks across Azure, AWS, and\/or GCP. Demonstrated experience delivering SOC setup, transformation, migration, or optimisation programmes. Hands-on experience designing and implementing DLP strategies and solutions. Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and engage at both technical and executive levels. Desirable Experience Exposure to AI security, AI governance, and emerging technology risk management. Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, CrowdStrike, Splunk, or similar security platforms. Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and cloud-native security controls. Experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments. Preferred Qualifications CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100) CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) TOGAF or relevant architecture certification Relevant cloud security certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
