SUMMARY:
To support the Senior Specialist: ICT Security to design and maintain ICT Security incident and event monitoring landscape and provide secondary operational support of the network and endpoint security infrastructure. The person appointed to this role will report to the Senior Specialist: ICT Security.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent qualification.

Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in an ICT Security-related position, with experience in security incident and event monitoring, network and endpoint security.

An ICT Security-related certification, e.g. CISSP, CEH, will be an advantage. Solid working experience and knowledge of Security Operations Centre (SOC) (QRADAR) and endpoint protection (McAfee Endpoint Protection).

Proficiency in providing operational support on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Checkpoint and F5 Firewalls will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of NIST and other security-related frameworks as applicable will also be an added advantage.

Key Performance Areas:

Provide operational support on security incident remediation on endpoints protection.

Research and identify potential ICT Security threats.

Work with outsourced Managed Security Operation Centre (SOC) service provider to prioritize the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

Co-ordinate ICT Security Incident Response activities.

Manage and maintain the following security solutions.

Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Microsoft Intune)

Anti-Virus, TIE/DXL and Endpoint Encryption (McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator)

Log Management (ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer)

SIEM (QRADAR)

Develop security standards, processes and procedure in own area of responsibility.

Work closes with ICT governance to ensure adherence to ICT security standards, processes and procedures.

Provide relevant management reporting on all the above as and when required.
