Security Engineer (Remote)

SUMMARY:
Are you an expert at security management? Do you have extensive experience in monitoring systems, implementing security recommendations risk assessments and disaster recovery simulations? A well-established ISP requires your proficiency today.

POSITION INFO:

In this role you will support the information security programme to include policies, procedures and standards, whilst assisting with project initiatives to research, validate and manage information security vendors and products

You will ensure that strong detection, prevention and monitoring tools are in place and conduct disaster recovery simulations

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years server administration & networking

Minimum of 2 years’ information security

Minimum of 2 years cloud infrastructure (Azure & AWS)

Minimum of 2 years Security information and event management

Linux & Windows Operating systems.

Solid understanding of best practice standards: ISO27001, POPIA, GDPR & SOC2

Network security architecture, IT risk assessments, incident response management, executing disaster recovery plans, access control systems & methodology

Qualification:

IT Related qualification

Certification in Information Security
