SUMMARY:
Well established organisation on the East Rand seeks a Security Manager who is available immediately to work on contract
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Immediately available to work on contract ie not currently working
- Qualification in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in security management (corporate, industrial, or government).
- Strong knowledge of physical and information security best practices.
- Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Security Strategy & Policies
- Develop, implement, and enforce internal security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Physical Security
- Oversee access control, CCTV systems, alarms, and perimeter security.
- Ensure proper visitor management and employee ID/access badge protocols.
- Information & Data Security (in collaboration with IT)
- Support data protection initiatives and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
- Monitor for security breaches or suspicious activities.
- Incident Response & Investigations
- Lead investigations of security incidents, breaches, or thefts.
- Report and document incidents with corrective action plans.
- Compliance & Training
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct employee training and awareness programs on security practices.
- Liaison & Coordination
- Coordinate with law enforcement, regulators, and external security providers when required.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and Facilities on integrated security measures
