Security Shift Manager (Durban)

Purpose of the Job:

The Shift Manager will report to the Integrated Services Manager. The primary responsibility of the Shift Manager is to ensure effective and efficient security operations of the Site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enforce the Company Disciplinary ‘Code of Conduct’
• Ensure efficient and effective day – to – day management of Site Security Personnel
• Ensure effective and efficient Rostering of Site Security Personnel
• Assist with Training of Site Security Personnel
• Provide security recommendations that are site specific for Senior Managers Consideration
• Investigate on-site allegations and report on findings accordingly
• Handle and resolve Staff and Client complaints
• Provide administrative support

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• PSIRA Grade A Registered
• Matric Certified
• Solid Computer Proficiency
• Firearm Competency (Handgun and Shotgun) is mandatory
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the Security Industry
• 5 to 10 years of previous managerial experience
• Driver’s License Code 08 and own reliable transport
• Previous CCTV and Control Room experience will be advantageous
• Previous Investigation and Report Writing Experience
• Experience in HR/IR CCMA and Disciplinary Procedures
• Retail Security background will be advantageous
• First Aid, Fire Fighting, Health and Safety REP training will be advantageous
• Knowledge of the Security Industry regulations including Operational and Client requirements
