Security Supervisor

The SA Metal Group requires a committed, hardworking and motivated individual to join their Security team as a Security Supervisor. The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of Security officers as well as providing security services to the Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW)

• Posting of Security Officers at the main and satellite sites
• Training Security Officers to ensure the safety of the company’s employees, clients and property
• Ensure efficiency and productivity of Security Officers
• As Frontline personnel to ensure that Security employees conduct is professional and above reproach in terms of behaviour, dress, service, etc.
• Ensure that the Company rules, procedures and policies are adhered to at all times within the expected deadlines
• Ensuring that discipline is enforced
• Access control
• Ensure that all gates are manned at all times.
• Ensure that all the assigned areas are patrolled at regular intervals
• Ensure that Occupational Health and safety regulations are enforced and adhered to
• Evaluating all collated information and documentation

QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent with good numeracy and literacy skills
• Driver’s license and own, reliable transport is essential
• Atleast 3 years of Supervisory experience in the Safety & Security Sector
• Registered with PSIRA – Minimum Grade A
• Good command of English language
• Excellent communication skills , both verbal and written
• Willing to work irregular hours (shifts) and overtime
• In good health and physical stature
• Sober habits
• Disciplined to apply company policies and procedures
