Senior Account Manager (3 month contract)

SUMMARY:
Giant in the telecommunications industry, seeks a skills and suitably qualified Senior Account Manager to join their highly motivated team for a 3 month contract. This position will be responsible for building new commercial interconnects, managing strategic accounts whilst delivering profitable, long term business from those accounts.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements and key outputs for this position:

• Ensures delivery of annual revenue targets through delivery of full carrier services mix;
• Establishes appropriate relationships with customers in company and leverages those relationships to ensure maximum financial return from company customers;
• Works collaboratively to set up service relationship for nominated accounts;
• Provide input to help with decisions about new carrier propositions, product mix and services for customers;
• Experience in building commercial interconnects and carrier solutions for voice, SMS, mobility and connectivity in Africa;
• Wholesale and Carrier buying/selling and trading and relationship management with a track record of selling wholesale and carrier products and services buying/selling/trading;
• A broad understanding of the Wholesale and Carrier Landscape and Strategic Enablers;
• A thorough understanding of building commercial & technical interconnects, networking technologies across cable, satellite, fibre, microwave etc and wholesale and carrier services;
• Demonstrated understanding of important financial concepts, the wholesale and carrier environments, purchasing/selling and trading practices and industry specific aspects of wholesale and carrier customers.

Further requirements:

-          Minimum of completed Matric certificate;

-          Minimum of 5 – 10years experience in similar role in the telecommunications field;

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

-          Proven track record of success in building commercial interconnects and carrier solutions for voice, SMS, mobility and connectivity in Africa;

-          Immediately available to commence employment.
