POSITION INFO:

As the Senior Accountant, your duties and responsibilities could include the following:
Oversee full accounting function, including month-end close, journals, reconciliations, and reporting
Support the implementation and optimization of SAGE accounting software across the finance function
Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports to support strategic decision-making
Maintain cost accounting processes to ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis
Monitor inventory transactions and manufacturing variances to ensure alignment with financial records
Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve financial controls
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and company policies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Lead and mentor junior finance staff, driving a culture of excellence and accountability

Skills & Experience:
5 years of experience (in the manufacturing industry)
Proficiency in SAGE
Strong leadership skills

Qualification:
Completed BCom degree
Completed SAICA articles
