Senior Accountant

SUMMARY:
A leading organisation, based in Potchefstroom, is seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of full accounting functions and support the finance team with compliance, reporting, and audit preparation. The successful candidate will oversee junior team members and ensure that the organisation meets all statutory and SARS requirements. This role is suited to a technically strong and detail-driven individual ready to step into a leadership capacity.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review accounting processes performed by Junior Accountants and Debtors Clerks.
• Prepare statutory returns and ensure full SARS compliance.
• Manage audit packs and liaise with External Auditors.
• Support month-end reporting and financial analysis.
• Contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies.

• BCom Accounting Degree with complete SAIPA articles required.
• Minimum 2–3 years post-articles accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and reporting.
• Experience with Evolution ERP, Custom Software, and Excel (including Macros).
• Afrikaans fluency essential (written and spoken).
