POSITION INFO:

Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial investment and operating group with interests spanning fintech, lending, private equity, biotech, healthcare, automotive and various African growth markets. With operations across multiple industries and jurisdictions, the business is focused on scaling innovative ventures while maintaining strong governance, financial discipline and operational excellence. The Role:

Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their growing Cape Town team
This is a hands-on operational finance role where the successful individual will take ownership of day-to-day finance activities across multiple entities within the group
The position will work closely with senior leadership, operational teams, auditors, banks and external stakeholders
The ideal profile is someone commercially minded, detail-oriented and proactive, who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting involved across the full finance function

Key responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities within the group
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting reconciliations
Oversee cash flow, treasury activities, banking relationships and payment processes
Support group reporting, consolidations, audits and statutory compliance requirements
Ensure strong financial controls, governance and accurate financial records
Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, SARS and external service providers
Drive process improvements and support business growth initiatives, acquisitions and new ventures
Provide hands-on financial support to senior leadership and operational teams

Requirements:

BCom Accounting / Finance or similar qualification
5-8+ years' finance or accounting experience
Strong management accounting and full financials experience
Experience within multi-entity or group environments
Strong cash flow, treasury and reconciliations experience
Advanced Excel and accounting systems experience
Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting systems

Advantageous Experience:

Completed SAICA articles or strong audit background
Exposure to group consolidations and intercompany accounting
Exposure to fintech, lending, investments or high-growth businesses
African or multi-country operational exposure
