Senior Accountant

SUMMARY:
One of the globe’s largest mid-tier business servicing networks is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their Finance team. Our client is currently in search of a Senior Accountant with extensive Accounting, Taxation and Auditing knowledge.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years’ previous working experience in an accounting practice
• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or equivalent degree with Accounting III and taxation
• Completed SAIPA articles

Job description & Skills:

Pre-engagement procedures

Acquisition of member’s interest / shareholding

Completion of statutory returns e.g., UIF/SDL/PAYE/VAT.

Compiling and discussing with the client of monthly management accounts.

Statutory checks – member’s certificates, founding statements, association agreements

Complete a tax return for individuals, close corporations, trusts and body corporates.

Recording and identifying short comings in internal controls

Identifying risks and calculate materiality

Completion and review of Management representation letters

Qualifying the report of an Accounting Officer etc.
