JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification

BCom Accounting

Requirements

Financial accounting experience in a heavy engineering / manufacturing environment preferable.
Must have accounting experience on SAP, running all SAP reports over month end and prior to management accounts
Excellent understanding of IRFS

Duties

Cash flow forecast including treasury workbook creditor payments and debtor’s receipts as well as operational cash flow
Petty cash management
Balance sheet recons monthly
Preparation of management accounts at month end
Analysing general ledger for anomalies and corrections
Reconciling bank
Updating and maintaining fixed asset register
WIP and inventory management
Intercompany confirmations and reconciliations – DB UK and Loan accounts
Assist with preparing financial year end and auditors
Submit VAT return
Resolving any SARS queries and submission of documents
Providing ABSA with all the necessary info for inward funds received
Calculation of Inter Entity Charge
Completing monthly & quarterly STATS documents
Accruals and provisions monthly
Assisting with inventory counts
Prepare the Creditor reconciliation control/check sheet
Review all Creditor reconciliations and authorise for payment
Prepare monthly Creditor payment list for authorisation by the FD
