JOB SUMMARY:
An accounting firm based in the East Rand is looking for a dynamic and deadline driven Senior Accountant to join their team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

BCom Degree with completed articles
Preferably 2 years' post article experience
Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English
Must have a valid driver’s license and have a car
Will be required to travel to clients
Must have the ability to engage professionally with clients
Must have excellent attention to detail
Needs to be structured and well organised with good time management skills
Good team player
Quick and eager learner
Must be willing to train junior staff
Must be able to work under pressure
Care passionately about great customer service
Computer literate, particularly in MS Excel, Word, Caseware, Outlook and Sage Evolution

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Complying of Annual Financial Statements on Caseware
Complying working papers
Detailed knowledge of Evolution (capturing, bank recons, VAT, stock)
Monthly processing of a portfolio of clients
Compiling monthly management accounts
VAT Recons and submission of VAT returns
Submission of IT14's and IT12's
Calculation and submission of IRP6’s
Managing staff to ensure deadlines are being met
Detailed knowledge of SARS efling a must
Dealing with client’s general company and accounting queries through phone and email correspondence
