Senior Accountant / Financial Controller

An established organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector is seeking a hands-on Accountant / Financial Controller to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys balancing operational accounting, reporting, controls, and financial administration within a structured corporate environment.

POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description: Our client is a well-established business with an international footprint and a strong operational presence within the industrial sector. The successful candidate will support the Finance and Administration Manager across the full finance function, with responsibility for general ledger control, reconciliations, reporting, month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable oversight, and statutory compliance. This role offers exposure to both operational and financial controlling functions and would suit an individual with strong SAP exposure, excellent reconciliation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Control and administration of the general ledger up to balance sheet level Oversee accounts payable processes, supplier payments, and reconciliations Manage month-end and year-end reporting and closing procedures Prepare journals, accruals, provisions, and financial reconciliations Process and monitor VAT, tax, and statutory submissions Prepare management reports, cash flow reports, and audit schedules Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure against budget Support internal and external audit requirements Assist with international supplier account management and foreign invoice processing Job Experience and Skills Required: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field essential Minimum 5-8 years' hands-on accounting and finance experience Experience within finance controlling or financial accounting environments Strong general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting experience Exposure to accounts payable and supplier management SAP experience essential Advanced MS Excel skills required Exposure to Business Warehouse and Business Objects advantageous Strong understanding of VAT, tax compliance, and financial reporting Supervisory or team leadership experience advantageous Strong communication and organisational skills Apply now!
